Description: What sets this gin apart is that it has been made exclusively from grain alcohol, flavoured with fresh juniper and sloe berries. And what’s more, it truly is a local product as it has both been developed and produced in Woerden.
The basis of our gin is made with lager malt only. First, barley wine is distilled in a traditional manner. Then, juniper and sloe berries are added, and the flavoured wine is distilled again. By distilling twice in a pot still we can obtain a fine balance between barley and berry aromas: A gin with some real character!
Colour: The gin is unfiltered and therefore slightly cloudy.
Smell: It has a clearly distinguishable smell of fresh juniper berry, accompanied by subtle tones of sloe, grain, and wood.
Taster: The gin has a full and rich flavour of barley wine combined with the aromas of fresh citrus fruit, juniper berry and sloe berry.
Aftertaste: The aftertaste is mild and dry and lasting.
